During Practicum I, I was able to teach my first lesson to a Kindergarten classroom of some amazing students. How many of you are familiar with the book When Sophie Gets Angry, Really Really Angry, by Molly Bang? If you're not, it's a great story for the little ones!
We worked on making predictions, and kids loved it! I read part of the story, and then sent the kids to their desks to fill out their pred iction worksheets.

The students were to fill in the blank with what they think will happen next, and color a picture to go along with their sentence. I got some really thoughtful answers, and some really hilarious ones as well. I wish I would have kept pictures of them all so we could all have a few laughs right about now.
After the students completed their worksheets, we came back and shared our predictions. I finished the lesson by finishing the book for the class. We were excited for those who predicted correctly, and we were told it was okay if we predicted incorrectly. Because really, it's just a guess! It doesn't matter if we are right or wrong.
The kids had a blast, and I fell in love with teaching! I can't wait for my next opportunity to teach another lesson!
